We're groomed or manipulated into believing politics is ugly, dark, divisive and rotten. People, government leaders, politicians and media act that way. Politics isn't the source. Politics is the vehicle. People are the drivers. Just like guns don't kill people. People kill people. Same truth principle.
You can hide behind politics. "I'm only mad and angry because I hate ABC politician." That's a lie. You're mad and angry because you choose to be. You're mad or angry because your mind conflicts with your heart and soul messages: "I don't have all the information. Not getting all the information. I'm ignorant. Why am I ignorant of what's going on? Am I stupid?" Instead of learning your "what & why", you "rage-out."
Or you might fit this: "I'm mad and angry because I feel helpless. The sky is falling around me. I need to do something, but don't know what. How can I protect myself in this unstable world? I'm mad and angry because I'm afraid."
Or you might fit this: "I'm mad and angry at other people who are ignorant, judgmental, racist Nazis without a heart." That's a good one. TV & cable news spew this hatred, ignorance, division. If you fit this pattern, you're actually mad at yourself for being masterfully manipulated. You're mad at YOU. And your self-hatred reached such epic proportions that you lash out at anyone who doesn't share your political opinion.
Today, I set the record straight. Most Americans do not participate in politics. They never have. Voting is not participating. Voting is something we all do every 2 years. 99% of the time, we don't even know WHO we're voting for. That fact alone - proves we don't participate.
Posting on social media &/or watching daily news and headlines: that is NOT participating in the political process. Taking action in your daily life, during non-election times, is participating. Contacting your politicians throughout the year: that's participating. Attending your local school board meetings, city council meetings, meeting your local leaders: that's participating.
I was raised to participate in politics. Not because it's ugly. Because I was taught: participating is my civil obligation and right as an American. America was uniquely created to test true participation in society around you. Like JFK said: "It's not what your country does for you. It's what you DO for your country." That applied to every American - not just the military and first responders. I was raised by parents who loved JFK. They mourned his death. I was born 9 months after JFK assassination.
By age 6 (1970), I read billboards that mentioned POWs and Vietnam War. Asked my dad "What's the Vietnam War, Dad? Did they invade us? Where are their tanks? Why are we in a war?" I was only 6, but Dad still answered me. "No one knows why we're in Vietnam, Robin. Wars are created as money-makers." My response: But people die! Dad replied: "Yes. Our government isn't always good. Other governments aren't good either. We're better than most governments. We're trying to protect the less-fortunate over there. I'll show you where Vietnam is when we get home." And he did. He pulled out our family globe and explained what he knew about the war.
He ended our talk by saying "Don't believe everything you read and see. Nothing is as it appears to be. Question everything. When you get older, you'll participate in your government. You must. Our country is a beautiful, wonderful place. Know what's going on and stand up for what you believe in. If you don't, you'll lose it." I was immediately hooked and fascinated with politics from that day forward. Politics was empowerment, humanity and society put into practice.
In high school, I was on the debate team and VP of my class. In college, I was a member of the Young Republicans Club. Mom was a Democrat: "they're all heart" she said. Dad was a Republican "they're practical." Dad often laughed: "You're a Democrat until you grow up and get a job." Dad owned 4 businesses. He paid hefty taxes. He was a self-made man. Born poor with nothing. Built wealth for all of us, after discharged from Army in 1972.
In college, I met politicians through Young Republicans Club. Didn't trust most of them. Born psychic, I often saw "clouds" cover their face and auras. Clouds meant liars.
If you go to Washington DC, you'll meet people with clouds over their faces and auras - 90% of the time. Liars.
While with YRC, I learned about the political process: issues, canvassing, primary races, election process, how voting process worked, lying politicians, good people who should be politicians, political "platforms", conventions and delegates. That was a good thing. 4 years later, I would be forced to practice what I learned. YRC was a good experience. I also learned that GOP voters didn't question much. They followed. They treated politicians like celebrities versus people representing us. I left the YRC because I asked too many questions. I wanted to know: "why is the border not secured? Why do we have high crime? A huge drug crisis? How will you (politician) solve it?" That was in 1985. We're repeating same stuff 40 years later. Have we learned anything? Really??
In 1988, my brother and sister were murdered. In 1990, my mom and I got involved in politics. She and her group of POMC (Parents of Murdered Children) moms, drove to Austin from Houston at least twice a month. Meeting with our state officials. Back in 1980s-1990s, there was no protection for crime victims. What you have today: my mom and her group helped create. That's a fact. Mentioned in my upcoming book "Tragedy and Beyond".
Before Mom's trips to Austin, she'd ask me to write her speeches to politicians and state committee hearings. I was a fast typist and good writer back then. I helped her prepare. Then her fellow moms would come to our house around 5:30a. They'd leave by 6a to arrive Austin by 8a. They often stood outside politicians' doors before their offices opened. Mom and her group talked to Houston City Mayor Bill Lanier, our county DA, our county Sheriff, Governor Bush, the Lt. Gov, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and 70% of state representatives and senators. "How dare they slam door in our faces. Faces of moms who's kids' were killed. They work for us!" She often vented after a day in Austin.
Dad and I were proud of her. "This is how you participate, Robin. Remember me telling you?"
From 1991-1993, I actively participated in politics. In Texas and Washington DC. Like my mom, I was the face of homicide. And a resolute human being seeking protections for my fellow humans, our society and violent crime victims. Searching for solutions. Creating solutions. Speaking with political leaders. Mom did more of this - than I did. I was her back-office. Proud and happy to do it. Mom participated 80% of the time. I participated 30% of the time. Everyone participated using their own money and time. Even taking days off work - unpaid. Well worth the effort. We helped mold or create new laws to protect society (eg. stop Early Release Parolees). And we met with leaders to ensure those laws got enforced. I met JFK, Jr. and his sister Caroline in 1992 at a NOVA conference in Wash DC. Met Brady and his wife (eg. Brady Bill) at the same time. They wanted gun control. I was the only person in the room who did not. I spoke my mind to a gun-control crowd. I was 28 years old.
Spoke to media as well. Mom did more media than me though. Local, state, national. I met Kim Goldman on Bill O'Reilly's show. She was a mess. She didn't get the 1-year "invisible" break that I did. The "hiatus" healing time between her brother's murder and meeting with press. OJ Simpson's celebrity fed the media frenzy.
In 2008, I became a delegate at the Democrat National Convention in Harris County (Houston). Saw how that played out. Democrats change the rules every hour - at their conventions. GOP conventions stick to their rules. In 2008, Obama and Hillary were battling for top spot. People supporting Obama got delegate passes without voting in primary!
Democrat rules: You must vote in primary to be a Democrat delegate. That got thrown out the window in 2008. I had to wait in long lines for verification, while groups of black women pushed through, demanding to be delegate, without voting in the primary. Talk about unfair political practices. After that experience, I will not vote Democrat again. They cheat their own family! That's how I saw it. I have Black friends and neighbors. After the convention, I told them about my experience. They were shocked too! The convention experience did not sour my opinion of blacks, Asians, Mexican-Americans. It soured my opinion of the Democrat Party. Bullies run their show?
From 2010-2013, I was part of TEA Party. I'm a constitutionalist. I was President of the Sedona Tea Party from 2011-2012. Attended TEA Party meetings across Arizona. Went to TEA conferences. Attended Democrat political meetings and GOP too. Local Sedona paper, The Red Rock News, caught wind of my position. Wrote an article about me. I was so proud that day. Participating! Pride was brief. The very next day, I started getting hate-mail from locals and Arizonans. They called me "filled with hate and vitriol." Complete strangers I never met. During next 4 months, I lost 50% referrals in that town. Republicans were OK with my TEA affiliation. Democrats and liberals were not. Lost total respect for liberals and democrats at that point. A year later, one of my Democrat liberal friends invited me to a Dining Table Conversation. Where we talked about local policies and fixes. I was nice, polite, listened. We all got along nicely. Agreed to disagree - politely.
When Gabby Giffords' shooting happened in Tucson, I drove down from Sedona to help out. Part of my victim advocacy kicked into high gear. Helped Tucson's homicide group "Homicide Survivors, Inc." Attended memorials. Stood outside hospital with other people, praying for Giffords and other victims.
When I returned to Sedona, a city councilwoman contacted me. Democrat Barbara Litrell. She wanted to talk about "Hate Rhetoric" in Sedona. "I want to have a Sedona Forum on Hate Rhetoric," she said. We met. I listened. Asked her "Do you notice a Hate Rhetoric problem in Sedona? Anyone you know being hateful?" Her final answer: No. My response: "Then why are we creating a problem that doesn't exist?" The discussion ended there. The Sedona Hate Rhetoric Forum never happened.
Heart and Soul in Politics.
Why create problems that don't exist? Why create drama? Life has enough drama. Don't invite it. Why believe strangers? On social media, and cable media, everyone is a stranger to you. Why fight them? It wobbles you and your soul aura. It doesn't affec them. Anger and dis-unity rattles you off balance. That's your responsibility. Not theirs. Don't blame them. They invited you into a fight. You willingly entered the ring. If your feelings get hurt and you get angry, that's your fault. Not theirs. You willingly participated. If you put the same energy into contacting your local politicians and leaders, you'd feel better, not worse.
Research facts on your own. Don't take anyone's word for it. Don't expect other people to spoon-feed you facts. The TV-Cable media doesn't give you facts. They give opinions. Start listening to their words. Pay attention. Question everything.
Anger. I'm personally tired of it. On social media, news media, and elsewhere. First, most Americans don't have half the political experience that I do. If you haven't participated, research before you speak up. Participate before you enter the political "ring". Politics is about policy. Not finger-pointing. Politics isn't a ballgame. It's real life. Yours.
As a society, we're killing our souls and hearts - with all this anger and division.
Each time you get mad when thinking or talking politics, take a step back. You're wobbling your aura and soul and heart. When your aura, soul and heart wobble - you energetically wobble the globe and people you speak with and even walk by. Keep your soul, heart, aura clear. If you care about your world, care about your aura first. Care about your soul first. Care about your heart first. Turn off media for a few days. Relax. Remember who you are. Recharge. Stronger and more balanced.
You're responsible for your life. You're responsible for your emotions and your soul. No one else. No one else is responsible for your Earth experience. You are. If you want a healthy, happy life, prove it. Prove it to your soul. Prove it to your Angels and Spirit Guide-Helpers.
There are things I know about all 3 Presidential candidates in this year's election. I still see no election. As of today, very likely that the UN white-helmets will be present at almost every voting center across US. I don't know why. I just see it.
Out of all 3 Presidential candidates and parties (Independent, Democrat, Republican), there is one party I won't vote for: Democrat party. I know their platform, policies, and candidates. They want to destroy America's freedoms, liberties. They want to destroy most Americans. I know this.
If you believe Trump is Hitler, you got it all wrong. You have been masterfully manipulated into believing that. With no facts backing it up.
As God is my witness, and as my soul drives my life, the Democrat Party is not the party of democracy. It's the party of American destruction, chaos, inflation, higher taxes and high crime. If you like those things, vote Democrat. Otherwise, you have two other choices.
I'm an American. I want to live in America again. Where my soul is free to be who/what it wants. Where my heart is full of love, not fear. An America where my liberties are supported, not censored or stopped. Where I'm free to roam where I want, when I want. Where Earth life is expansive and prosperous. Not restricted and poor. I want you to live in that America with me.
After reading this, you might be angry or rejoice. Remember - it is your choice. You're a sovereign human soul being. You choose your reactions and life experiences. If this post offends you, you can unsubscribe. I stand up for what I believe in. I stand by this post. I will not back down, nor issue any apology.
God Bless and Namaste -
